A couple of nights ago I dashed down to Almaden Quicksilver Park hoping to catch a colorful sunset. It turned out to be less colorful than I expected but pretty nonetheless.

Today’s hike was a simple little climb up the Mine Hill trail at Almaden Quicksilver Park, followed by a traverse of the ridge to the Reduction Works site and then back down via the English Camp trail.

Taken on a pleasant little morning hike today. This one gives me a good 1200′ climb - all the better to prepare for Sierra Nevada backpacking.
